The Shooting of Dan McGrew
(Clarence Badger, 1924)
Based on a poem by Robert William Service titled The Spell of the Yukon. Barbara La Marr plays Lou, a leading lady in a South American dance troupe who is promised fame by "Dangerous Dan" McGrew (Lew Cody) if she follows him to Broadway. Her husband Jim (Percy Marmont) chases them to New York and finally Alaska, where the final confrontation takes place.
